the accommodation buildings, camping areas and activities are available
for use by Youth Organisations, Faith Groups, and Schools all fully
catered for as an option.
If
your school has its own team to arrange outdoor experiences then
you can directly book the facilities you require with Phasels Wood,
otherwise successful school activity days are run by an independent
outdoor activity company using the Phasels Wood facilities.
Out
of Town Action Sports takes pride in delivering a programme of high
quality activities allowing participants the chance to enjoy the
challenge and thrill of the outdoors. Whether you want a taster
to see if you enjoy a sport, a group activity day, team building
and leadership development through outdoor learning or a residential
programme, we can provide it for you.
Two
high quality centres in Hertfordshire provide the bases for our
activities, The Aquadrome for water activities and Phasels Wood
Activity Centre for land activities. Both of these centres provide
fantastic settings for learning whether it be the one hundred acres
of rolling meadows and woodland at Phasels Wood or at the Aquadrome
where outdoor learning runs alongside nature conservation in ten
square kilometres of beautiful wetlands.
Our
instructors are selected for their ability to develop the skills
of participants of all ages and at the same time create a fun and
exciting learning environment. All hold the appropriate training
or National Governing Body qualification for the activities they
deliver, are CRB checked and follow a stringent child protection
code.

know that organising an outdoor experience in this sector is not
simply about turning up and the participants enjoying themselves
- to this end we pride ourselves in offering a comprehensive support
service for organisers. Our organisers pack contains all the detail
that you need, including the appropriate risk assessments for the
activities that you choose to undertake.
Where
appropriate our content has been approved by AALA, the adventurous
activities licensing authority. Out of Town Action Sports operate
the aquadrome in Rickmansworth and are the public, educational and
corporate activities partner for Phasels Wood Scout Activity Centre.
